Our Boat Rules and Rental Expectations

  1. Safety First:

    • All guests must wear provided life jackets while on board, especially if not strong swimmers.
    • Follow the captain’s instructions regarding safety procedures and emergency protocols.
  2. Capacity Limit:

    • The pontoon boat has a maximum capacity of 9 people, including children and infants.
    • Do not exceed the specified capacity for your safety and the boat’s stability.
  3. No Alcohol or Drugs:

    • Consumption of alcohol or illegal substances is strictly prohibited while on board.
    • The captain has the right to terminate the trip immediately if any guest is found to be under the influence.
  4. No Smoking:

    • Smoking, including vaping and e-cigarettes, is not allowed on the pontoon boat.
  5. Respect Wildlife:

    • Observe and enjoy the local wildlife from a distance.
    • Do not feed or disturb animals or birds.
  6. No Littering:

    • Keep the pontoon boat clean by disposing of trash in designated containers.
    • Help protect the environment by not littering in the water.
  7. Swimming and Diving:

    • Only swim in designated safe areas.
    • Do not dive or jump from the pontoon boat, as this can be dangerous.
  8. Children and Life Jackets:

    • Children under the age of 12 must wear a life jacket at all times.
    • Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children closely.
  9. Be Mindful of Noise:

    • Keep noise levels to a respectful minimum to avoid disturbing other boaters and nearby residents.
  10. Pets:

    • Pets are generally not allowed on board unless otherwise specified by the rental company.
    • If allowed, ensure your pet is well-behaved, on a leash if necessary, and any waste is cleaned up.
  11. Weather Conditions:

    • Trips may be postponed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather or dangerous conditions.
    • Trust the captain’s judgment regarding weather-related decisions.
  12. Be on Time:

    • Arrive promptly at the designated meeting point to ensure your trip begins on time.
    • Late arrivals may result in reduced rental time.
  13. Respect the Boat:

    • Treat the pontoon boat with care and respect.
    • Report any damages or issues to the captain immediately.
  14. Cancellations and Refunds:

    • Refunds are given at the descression of Why Knot Boat.
    • Notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your reservation.
